Kantyli, Inc. was established in 2004 when the book, ECCLESIA, Greek Orthodox Churches of the Chicago Metropolis,
was published. An impressive and monumental task of envisioning, organizing and following through to create this important original work. Panos Fiorentinos, a first generation Greek-American has relied on his skill of architectural model making, photography, visualization, and sketching skills to guide his creative passions.
Panos started engraving Greek words with Greek letters on blank wooden picture frames and before long he was creating even unique one-of-a-kind Greek gifts. He was personalizing products by adding Greek names,
or engraving logo's, making families village signs or Greek street sign with American streets; engraving words
and pictures on many items and materials.
Then he branched off into customizing and helping folks create
your own unique fundraising gifts, church gifts, customized party
favors, momentous and souvenirs too. It wasn't too long after that when his patrons told him his gifts were going to Greece.
You may ask what does Kantyli mean? Typically defined in the Greek language as an oil lamp found in a church. See the pattern. Panos' has added a few definitions of his own too, since most of his creativity emerges from burning the mid-night oil!
